Cersei will remain the queen of Westeros

This isn’t a common or popular theory by any means, but Cersei has surprised us for seven seasons already simply by surviving. Cersei’s decision to stay out of the war against the Night King could secure her the throne, assuming that Jon and Daenerys waste most of their men and resources fighting the army of the dead.

If no one betrays Cersei—and that’s unlikely on its own—she and Euron could actually win the war against Jon and Daenerys’ already brutalized forces. There’s also the discussion she had with Tyrion at the end of the seventh season to consider, and many fans believe Tyrion may ultimately betray Daenerys for his family. It’s not a pleasant way to end the series, but anything’s possible on Game of Thrones.

Cersei or her new child will escape King’s Landing when it falls

Although Cersei is consistently full of surprises, it’s probably more likely that her reign will end during the final season of Game of Thrones. After all, Daenerys has dragons and a far bigger army—plus, Maggy the Frog already foretold the coming of a new queen who will replace her.

Usurping Cersei doesn’t necessarily mean she’ll perish, though. Despite Jaime and Tyrion being fed up with Cersei, we can also see how they’d not to want to kill her. There’s a chance Cersei could escape King’s Landing, much like Tyrion did after his own death sentence was declared. Their willingness to help her escape will only be increased by the news of her pregnancy—though it’s unclear whether she was telling the truth or lying about bringing another Lannister into the world.

If she was being honest, it’s also possible that she’ll have the child by the time Daenerys’ forces reach her doorstep. It would be a special kind of irony if her children were forced into exile, much like Daenerys and Viserys were after Robert’s rebellion. Of course, this end is unlikely, given Maggy’s prediction that Cersei will only have three children and considering the timeline of the show. Still, it would certainly make an interesting ending.
