Daenerys will be revealed to be Azor Ahai

Game of Thrones fans have heard a lot about Azor Ahai, the “Prince That Was Promised” over the past few seasons—mostly from Melisandre, of course. The Red Woman originally believed Stannis Baratheon to be Azor Ahai, only to change her opinion when Stannis was defeated and Jon raised from the dead. But who says Azor Ahai needs to be a prince at all?

According to Missandei, the Valyrian translation of the phrase “Prince That Was Promised” is actually gender neutral—meaning that it could very well refer to Daenerys instead of Jon. Azor Ahai is supposed to wield a sword made of fire, but this could be a metaphorical statement, alluding to Daenerys’ dragons. After all, with the need for Dragonglass weapons, the dragons are the ones saving Westeros if they manage to defeat the army of the dead.
