Game of Thrones season 8: 5 last-minute Daenerys Targaryen predictions

Daenerys and Jon will take the Iron Throne together

One of the more popular theories regarding who will wind up on the Iron Throne is that Jon and Daenerys will end up ruling Westeros together. Once Jon’s true heritage becomes known, the two of them will be forced into the realization that Jon is actually the rightful heir to Westeros—by more traditional standards, at least.

But the two of them have already begun a romantic relationship with one another, so what’s to stop them from continuing generations of Targaryens marrying Targaryens and claiming the throne as equals? This ending would make sense of the name of George R.R. Martin’s book series, A Song of Ice and Fire, and it would be satisfying to a great number of fans.

Of course, the actors and actresses have repeatedly said that they didn’t see the series finale coming, and this one does seem like a predictable ending. That alone might rule it out, but it’s possible that the cast is trying to lead fans astray…
