The final season of Game of Thrones is almost here, so it’s time for some last minute guesses about how the series will wrap up the story of the Lady of Winterfell, Sansa Stark.

The final season of Game of Thrones is almost upon us, and it truly feels like the end of an era. (Seriously, though, what are we going to talk about on Sunday nights next spring?)

As fans get ready to say goodbye to the show we’ve all loved so much, speculation is rampant about just how the end of the series will go down. What will happen to our favorite characters? Will they all make it out alive? (Probably not, but hope springs eternal.)

One of the characters whose fate has sparked considerable concern is Sansa Stark, current Lady of Winterfell and Game of Thrones’ most long-suffering character. Poor Sansa has been through almost everything. She lost half her family. Her direwolf was killed. She’s been beaten, raped and abused by a variety of truly reprehensible men. And she’s only just recently learned to take any kind of control over her own life and future.

Basically, if Sansa doesn’t get a happy ending or — at the very least – make it through the end of the show alive, we riot. Hear that, Game of Thrones producers?

Along the way, however, there are a few things that are likely to happen to the eldest Stark daughter. (And a few that we only hope will happen, but will be very happy to be right about if they do.) Here are a few guesses on Sansa’s fate in season 8.
