Emma Stone becomes an ARMY in BTS teaser for Saturday Night Live
By Mia Johnson
In the latest Saturday Night Live teaser, Emma Stone is just as excited as us about BTS performing on SNL this weekend.
It’s only the middle of the week, but we’ve never hoped to get to Saturday so quick in our entire lives, because BTS will be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live this weekend.
SNL must know how excited all of the fellow ARMYs are, because the latest teaser for the show has host Emma Stone absolutely freaking out about their arrival. Of course, it’s not just her. She and the other ladies of Saturday Night Live, including Kate McKinnon, decided to have the ultimate BTS-themed slumber party right there on the SNL stage.
They’ve got their posters, magazines, and other merch… but one thing’s missing from the teaser: there’s no BTS in sight. No Jungkook, RM, Jin, V, J-Hope, Jin, Suga. Nobody. What’s up with that, SNL?
Though our hearts are heavy that the guys couldn’t appear in the teaser, they probably have a lot to prepare for. Their upcoming album, Map of the Soul: Persona, is set to be released April 12, which means promotion for that album could be keeping them busy.
But never fear. If you need something to hold you over until Sunday, the music video for “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey will be out Friday, April 12, at 5 a.m. EST. If that’s still too long to wait, BTS released a teaser for the video on Sunday, and a second teaser was released today. You can watch it below.
Needless to say, Saturday’s performance is going to be absolutely outstanding. We’re even hoping that Halsey can come back to SNL to perform with them, even though she doubled as the host and musical guest in February.
In addition to the performances, we’d absolutely love to see the guys come on stage for a sketch, if even for a brief cameo. SNL’s known to bring on its musical guests for a role if the sketch calls for it, and we have faith that they’ll make a surprise appearance in one of the sketches during the night. As one YouTube commenter wrote for the SNL teaser, they “would be JungSHOOK if BTS did a skit,” and we have to agree we’d feel the same.
You can catch BTS on Saturday Night Live this weekend on April 13 at 11:30 p.m. EST. Check back here on Culturess for a review of the show after it airs.
