They may not know they’re related but in season 8 of Game of Thrones, things seem to be heating up between Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen.
Emilia Clarke may play the Mother of Dragons on Game of Thrones but she seems to be just as big of a fan of the show as we are! According to MSN, Clarke is excited about the epic romance of Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen in season 8.
And while we may know that the two are related, they don’t — not yet anyway. Granted, this is Game of Thrones, so even if they did know, they may not care?
Clarke shared that Daenerys and Jon work together because he understands her in a way none of her past partners ever did.
“They’re incredibly similar, they have so much that binds them. He brings out an honesty in her that she hasn’t experienced. So I think that’s an interesting relationship,” she pointed out, going on to say that it is the most contemporary relationship Daenerys has had.
Does this mean it will be a long relationship, though? Clarke did describe to MSN that their love will be “epic” in the final season of the hit HBO series, so we really hope it’s a good kind of epic. Fans everywhere are worried about whether or not Daenerys will survive the final battle for the Iron Throne but, if she does die, at least she goes out having one of the best relationships on the show.
It’s wonderful to hear Emilia Clarke talking about this because she cares just as much as we do about the show and these characters. But knowing how fans are and how the ending of shows typically goes, Clarke is well aware that not everyone is going to be happy with things.
”You want everyone to be happy. But in the final season of any show, there’s going to be upset people, there’s going to be fights within friendship groups, there’s going to be, ‘Who’s side are you on?’ ”
Hopefully, Daenerys survives and takes her place on the Iron Throne with Jon Snow by her side.
