More from Harry Potter

During the interview, Fiennes revealed how his wand appears to defy gravity. You might not have noticed it when watching Harry Potter, so keep an eye out on it next time, but while everyone always seems to maintain a tight grip on their wand, Lord Voldemort barely seems to cling onto it at all.

There are several scenes where you can see him only having a single finger curled around his wand and when casting various spells. Promoting the question; how the heck does he not drop it?

Well, Fiennes revealed the secret to GQ and it isn’t very magical I’m afraid. Turns out there is a hook on the wand which went onto one of Fiennes’ fingers. Allowing him to use the wand open-handed.

"“It has a hook on it, so I can hold my hand, and then the end can hook around this finger. Like I almost have the hand open… you’d think it would fall off the hand. But I just enjoyed that it could be light in the hand.”"

Despite the answer not being very magical, it is a fun bit of trivia for Harry Potter fans. One that shows just how much effort went into creating the magic that is Harry Potter.
