Cersei Lannister

As fans head into the eighth season of Game of Thrones, it’s truly a wonder that Cersei Lannister is still alive. Fans have been betting on her demise since the High Sparrow captured her during the fifth season of the show, but Cersei always manages to turn the odds back around, somehow.

While we’ve predicted this before, it’s highly likely that Cersei will fall during the final season of the series. Her reign is sure to come to an end, especially with both Daenerys and the Night King to cope with. Whoever survives the Night King’s attack will turn their sights—and armies—on Cersei afterward. It’s unlikely that either Daenerys or the Starks will allow Cersei to live.

But even if Daenerys were to show mercy to Cersei, it’s unlikely she’d forfeit the Iron Throne without a fight. The only way Cersei will be dethroned will be by death, and her death has been predicted by Maggy the Frog. Maggy hasn’t been wrong about the events of Cersei’s life yet, so it’s safe to assume that this prediction will also come to fruition.

There’s also the possibility that Euron Greyjoy will be the cause of Cersei’s downfall. The last time we saw him, he was leaving King’s Landing to recruit the Golden Company to Cersei’s cause. The trailer has already shown that he’ll succeed and return from Essos with more forces, but how does Cersei know Euron can be trusted? The man killed his own brother for the throne, so eliminating Cersei shouldn’t be an issue for him.
