Sidekicks and side characters
Shuri
Status: Snapped?
When we last saw Shuri, she was trying to safely get the Mind Stone out of Vision’s forehead. However, she was interrupted by a member of the Black Order who was sent to obtain the stone. We weren’t sure of Shuri’s status by the end of the movie, but recent events imply that she may have been killed in Thanos’ snap. Marvel released Endgame posters in March that showed characters who were killed colored in black and white, and Shuri was one of them.
Okoye
Status: Alive
For the first time, we see Okoye looking scared and vulnerable after T’Challa is disintegrated. She calls out for her king, but to no avail. We’re hoping that Okoye will be an integral part of the Avengers team and will get revenge against Thanos.
M’Baku
Status: Alive
M’Baku was once again a part of a fight in Wakanda. He and his tribe fought alongside the Avengers to battle the Outriders. We catch a brief glimpse of his face as he looks around at his tribe members as they disappear.
Wong
Status: Alive
Wong’s role was only in the beginning of the movie. After members of the Black Order ceased their attack on New York after kidnapping Strange, Wong decided to stay back in the Sanctum Sanctorum to protect it.
Pepper Potts
Status: Alive
Pepper’s last interaction with Tony was when she contacted him through F.R.I.D.A.Y. She begged him to go back to Earth and not fight off the Black Order, but as he traveled further into space, their connection was cut off.
Happy Hogan
Status: Alive
Happy Hogan did not appear in Infinity War, but Avengers: Endgame posters show that he is alive. How he will fit into Endgame is yet to be seen.
Heimdall
Status: Dead
Heimdall was on Sakaarian ship with Thor, Loki, Hulk and Valkyrie before it was attacked by Thanos. As a last heroic effort, he saved the Hulk by sending him back to Earth where he crashed landed into the New York Sanctum. Thanos stabs Heimdall for saving the Avenger, and he dies just after the Hulk leaves through the Bifrost.
Valkyrie
Status: Alive
Valkyrie’s involvement in Endgame was essentially confirmed by Marvel’s new movie posters. Despite not being in Infinity War, luckily, it looks like we’ll see more of the heroine since it’s all hands on deck.
