Chilling Adventures of Sabrina to get darker and sexier for season 2

Season 2 of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is nearly upon us. Get ready for one dark and sexy season, witches.

When Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (CAOS) first hit Netflix last year, it was a fresh approach to the magical character many were unfamiliar with. While the Netflix series is based on a comic of the same name, most viewers were familiar with a comical, light-hearted version of Sabrina Spellman from the ’90s.

The first season of CAOS perfectly set up this new look at Sabrina, at least for those who didn’t pick up the Chilling comics. We said goodbye to comical talking cats and teen witch hijinks, and hello to the Dark Lord.

With season 2 coming soon (April 5 to be exact), we have a lot of expectations for Sabrina, the Spellmans and the rest of the cast of CAOS. Rest assured, it seems we’ll be pleased, as the cast recently told Entertainment Weekly that the second season will have darker vibes, while also exploring the more sexual nature of the witch world.

Considering we have already seen one orgy thanks to Ambrose and we know that Aunt Zelda was having an affair of sorts with the High Priest of the Church of Night, Father Blackwood, we’re not that surprised that the witch world is darker and more prone to sexual adventures. But to have it confirmed we’ll see more of this has piqued our witchy interests.

Miranda Otto, who plays Zelda, revealed that, “Part 2 is sexier, definitely. There’s a lot more about the witch world, and the witch world is a very sexually active kind of world.”

And while we don’t know if this is going to have an impact on Sabrina yet, we would not be surprised if the second season showed our favorite witch getting a little wild. After all, we know that once she signed the Book of the Beast, things changed for Sabrina.

Since the character has always been independent and willing to do whatever she thinks is best (even if she is wrong), we can’t imagine her new-found witch acceptance will change that. In fact, it is likely she will be even more wild and almost out of control.

According to Otto and Lucy Davis, who plays Aunt Hilda, we can expect a new attitude from Sabrina that goes perfectly with her new hair. Sabrina’s always been independent, but season 2 will show us a Sabrina who’ll explore much more of her dark side. This may not turn out so well for the Spellman family, who have to clean up her messes and often deal with the consequences of her actions.

When it comes to the second season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina getting sexier, we can’t wait to see how this is explored further — from Aunt Zelda and Sabrina to others in the coven. There is something very freeing about knowing the show plans to let loose a little, and we can’t wait to see what that means for characters like Ambrose or even Harvey.
