Jamie Parker to begin filming 1917 in April

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child star Jamie Parker is about to start filming his new film, 1917, at the beginning of April.

We will always remember Jamie Parker as Harry Potter in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Part of the original cast in the West End production who traveled across the world to perform on Broadway. Parker left a lasting impression on Wizarding World fans who came to see him.

Parker has now stepped down from the Wizarding World production, along with several other original West End cast members, making way for a new round of cast members.

Parker is now getting ready to take on his new role, a DreamWorks Pictures and Universal Pictures movie called 1917. Set during World War I, 1917 will follow two young British Soldiers during a single day at the height of the war.

The two young soldiers in focus are Captain Fantastic’s George MacKay and Game of Thrones’ Dean-Charles Chapman. Joining the two actors is Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’s Jamie Parker, along with a slew of other big-name cast members, including Mark Strong, Andrew Scott, Richard Madden, Nabhaan Rizwan, Claire Duburcq, Colin Firth, and Benedict Cumberbatch.

There are no specific details on who Jamie Parker will appear as.

According to Deadline, filming for 1917 is to begin on April 1. Filming will take place in locations throughout Scotland and England. The movie is expected to be released Dec. 25 this year.
