Susie Carmichael

With so many reboots and sequel series getting greenlit in the last year or so, there were a lot of nostalgic cosplays throughout C2E2, particularly from Nickelodeon’s glory days. But this was one of my favorites.

Susie Carmichael was a criminally under-appreciated icon in Rugrats. She was brought in as a foil to the maniacal Angelica Pickles, and always helped Tommy and his friends. This savvy cosplayer even included a Tommy doll as an accessory.

Chuckie Finster

Where there’s one Rugrat, there’s bound to be another. And he came in the form of Chuckie Finster. It was the bright orange hair that caught my attention in the crowds of people wandering the convention aisles. When I saw his pants, I knew exactly who he was.

I did make him aware of the Susie pictured above, and her of him, so hopefully they managed to find each other and get a picture.

Reggie Rocket

Next to Rugrats, this was the biggest throwback cosplay at the con. Rocket Power was huge in the early 2000s. To this day, any millennial will freak out a bit remembering “Woogity woogity woogity!”

Reggie Rocket was the definition of iconic tomboy. So when I saw her embodied in cosplay, I couldn’t not ask her to stop. According to this cosplayer, the pieces of the outfit was surprisingly easy to track down, and fairly cheap to do so!
