The cover for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Illustrated Edition has been released, along with illustrations to be included within the book.

Jim Kay has once again delivered magic. The illustrator, who illustrated the first three Harry Potter illustrated editions, has revealed the cover he has created for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire illustrated edition along with illustrations within the book itself.

Due for release later in the year, the latest illustrated edition has been available for pre-order for some time, but only now have we been able to see some of the illustrations created for it. Fans have been eagerly waiting for a long time to get a glimpse of what Jim Kay has created and I would like to be the first to say, it has been well worth the wait.

Bloomsbury UK where the first to share the news via Twitter. They made the announcement this morning, March 12.

Scholastic, the publisher for Harry Potter in North America, followed suit shortly after. Their announcement made it known that an impressive 115 illustrations have been created by Jim Kay for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire illustrated edition.

More from Harry Potter

Pottermore then shared some of the illustrations that will be included within the edition. The vast majority of those shared are from very memorable and key moments from the Harry Potter franchise.

The first illustration shared by Pottermore shows the invitation Harry received at Privet Drive, inviting him to the stay at the Weasley’s and attend the Quidditch World Cup. Fans will hilariously remember the numerous amounts of stamps stuck to his invitation, and Jim Kay captures it perfectly with his illustration.

We then get a look at the ongoings inside the Weasley’s family home, The Burrow. Magic is in abundance here, so it’s not surprising Jim Kay has featured a few flying saucers and self-cooking carrots within his illustration.

Following a trip to The Burrow. It is the off to Quidditch World Cup. We can see everyone taking the early morning trip from The Burrow to the place where they will travel by Portkey in the next illustration shared.

Despite it not featuring in the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie, the campsite where all of the Witches and Wizards stayed during the Quidditch World Cup was a delight to read about. Every tent was unique in its own way and bursting with magic. We never got to experience it in the movie, but Jim Kay has made sure we get to experience that in the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire illustrated edition.

Fast forward several months later and the last few illustrations shared are from the Triwizard Tournament. One illustration from each of the tasks.

No sign of some of the key characters to be introduced in this chapter of the Harry Potter story. Professor Mad-Eye Moody is one such character, no doubt there will be an illustration of him, but we will probably have to wait for the book to be released in order to see it.

Voldemort is another key character introduced as well. We had met him before prior to The Goblet of Fire but never in his actual body. Just like Mad-Eye, you can bet there will be an illustration of him, but we are most likely going to have to wait for the release to see him.
