The Aftermath

The Aftermath by Rhidian Brook is set to hit the big screen on March 15 of this year. We couldn’t be more excited for this dramatic thriller starring our beloved Keira Knightley, alongside Alexander Skarsgård, Jason Clarke, and Alexander Scheer.

This historical drama takes place in 1946 in postwar Germany. Knightley plays the character of Rachael Morgan, wife of Lewis Morgan, played by Jason Clark. She returns to Germany with her son, Edmund, after being separated from her husband, who was working as a colonel of the British forcues during wartime. Characters Rachael and Lewis, along with their son, make a home in a new nesting as Lewis works diligently to fix the broken city of Hamburg.

Though the long-awaited reunion between the two brings joy, Morgan is unsettled by the fact that they are sharing their home with a war-widowed German played by Alexander Skarsgård — and his troubled daughter.

This five-people-under-one-roof dynamic opens the door for the testing of loyalties and some bubbling passion. This is a film that will keep you on edge as the unusual love stories unravel before your eyes and you are reminded of what’s important in life with the help of the postwar backdrop.
