The Good Liar

The Good Liar, written by Nicholas Searle, is an intense (and slightly romantic) thriller that will definitely pull on your heart strings and get your brain stirring when you see it in theaters on Nov. 15. Seriously, this is one movie that will have you on the edge of your seat.

The story focuses on a con man, played by Ian McKellen, who begins an online dating quest in order to take advantage of a wealthy older woman, played by the beautiful Helen Mirren. McKellen’s portrayal of Roy will have you seething with rage as he tricks Betty (Mirren) into letting him move into her impressive abode. The audience will also be questioning if Betty really is that blind to Roy’s devilish intentions.

Secrets of the past are revealed as the film progresses, and we begin to discover who Roy really is and where he came from along with Betty. Will this make the audience love him or hate him? Will the relationship between these two remain just an act, or will something blossom from the truth?

Be there in the fall to find out all the juicy details of this romantic fraud. And, of course, see two beloved actors of Hollywood play out this seriously powerful drama.
