Gamora isn’t permanently dead

We’ve never wanted a theory to be true this badly before in our entire fandom-led lives. Gamora’s death was cruel and unnecessary, and she deserves a revival so she and her sister can take down their abusive father. There is a myriad of speculations about Gamora and how she can ultimately beat Thanos — from her breaking out of her potential imprisonment in Soul World to her former self leaving behind a clue that could lead the Avengers to Thanos’ weakness.

As divergent as the Gamora theories might be, the consensus is that Gamora isn’t permanently dead. The ending of Infinity War, particularly with young Gamora’s ominous chat with Thanos, suggests that her soul is still bound to the Soul Stone in some way. None of the Avengers presently have any technology or abilities to conjure her soul or replace Nebula’s comic zombified arc with Gamora’s own run as the undead, but that doesn’t mean her soul will stay in a perpetual state of limbo in the Soul World.

Popsugar adds that Gamora’s soul might be able to be exchanged with another person’s soul. We’re not sure how the Avengers will conjure her soul back into her body or how they would exchange a soul in general. However, we can predict any self-sacrifice in Endgame will define the future of the MCU.
