Why do we all love the Niffler so much? Is it because he’s cute?
When it comes to the Niffler, Potter fans seem to love this money hungry little guy and why exactly is the Niffler one of our favorite of Newt Scamander’s pets?
Do we love the Niffler because we relate to him or because he’s adorable? We may never know but this little creature took over our screens in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and, ever since, we still can’t get enough of him! He may look like a platypus and steal from everyone but he’s ours and we want one for our own.
The Niffler, for those unaware, is a platypus like creature that tends to steal shining things and Newt Scamander has to constantly stop him from trying to take everything that glistens. So, why was this creature the one that audiences clung to? Probably because he’s adorable. He is furry, just hobbles around, and doesn’t really care what Newt tells him to do.
That being said, too much of the Niffler can make it so we don’t like him as much and that’d be a terrible thing because this creature had to be created just for us to want one of our own. Fluffy, funny, and just wanting to eat, sleep, and steal? A perfect combination!
Hopefully, we’ll get more of the Niffler in Fantastic Beasts 3 because we got a bit more of him in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald but obviously, seeing him take on the world from the pocket of Newt Scamander is something we all enjoy seeing!
