Xbox’s Live Gold members are in for a treat for March’s offerings. This month comes with some heavy hitters after a so-so February menu. Check it out!
If you’re an Xbox Live Gold subscriber and were a little disappointed with February’s offerings, don’t even worry. March’s offerings are around the corner, and they’re definitely a step in the right direction.
Xbox announced the four games earlier this week. Below is the list of offerings this month, the dates they will be available for download, and the system compatibility:
- Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion (March 1 to March 31 on Xbox One)
- Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 (March 16 to April 15 on Xbox One)
- Star Wars Republic Commando (March 1 to March 15 on Xbox One and Xbox 360)
- Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (March 16 to March 31 on Xbox One and Xbox 360)
If you’re a fan of the cartoon, then Adventure Time is a ridiculously entertaining romp through the Land of Ooo… but this time, it’s underwater! Finn and Jake always get into ridiculous situations–this one’s no different.
Plants Vs. Zombies is a surprising turn for the series, if you haven’t played it. It’s a third-person, team-based shooter that’s less of a tower defense that the series started as. This game also gives you the choice to play solo–you don’t need to compete in a team.
More fun than those are the two final offerings of the excellent Star Wars spinoff game and Metal Gear Rising.
Republic Commando came out on the original Xbox and is regarded as one of the best Star Wars experiences gamers can get. Being able to play it for free? Giving you a throwback to the less-complicated year of 2005? Yes please!
And if you’re looking for your fix of hack and slash gaming this month, that’s where Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance comes in. A spinoff from the Metal Gear franchise, it focuses more on the action sequences and mechanics and definitely feels like it’s for more casual fans.
So don’t miss out on these offerings! Play to your heart’s content. Have a couple late nights.
