Cravings: Hungry for More by Chrissy Teigen
Chrissy Teigen started her career as a model, appearing in major publications like Sports Illustrated, Cosmopolitan, Vogue, Esquire, Glamour, and more. She’s campaigned for companies like Nike and Olay, and she’s even appeared on America’s Next Top Model.
But alongside of her modeling and television career, Teigen has always harbored a passion for food. In fact, she used to be the food stylist on Tyra Banks’ FABLife, and she’s released two cookbooks to date—along with a cookware line that fans get find at Target.
Teigen’s most recent cookbook, entitled Cravings: Hungry for More, came out last year. The book almost serves as a sequel to her first one, Cravings: Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat. Both books provide a humorous look into Teigen’s everyday life in addition to the recipes included, and the most recent one takes readers further into Teigen’s world.
Cravings: Hungry for More focuses on the healing power of food, though Teigen acknowledges that this healing power isn’t always about physical health. The cookbook’s synopsis describes Teigen’s style as “healthy-ish,” and that description hits the mark, as Teigen seeks to remind readers that comfort food can also heal—and that it’s okay to indulge on occasion.
As the cookbook’s synopsis puts it, Teigen’s life is “a life of pancakes that remind you of blueberry pie, eating onion dip with your glam squad, banana bread that breaks the internet, and a little something called Pad Thai Carbonara.” And she pushes for all of her fans to embrace that sort of life, because dieting is about far more than calorie counting.
