White Dragon starring Harry Potter’s Katie Leung now available to stream

White Dragon, which stars Harry Potter actress Katie Leung and Doctor Who actor John Simm, is now available to stream via Amazon Prime Video.

Potterheads with an Amazon Prime Video account should keep an eye out on the Prime Original, White Dragon. It’s officially available to stream as of today, February 8, and it stars Harry Potter actress Katie Leung.

Leung, who played Cho Chang in the Harry Potter franchise, stars as Lau Chen in the series. She appears alongside Doctor Who actor John Sim, who plays the role of Professor Jonah Mulray. Also starring in the series are Anthony Wong, Dervla Kirwan, and Emilia Fox.

Originally debuting in the United Kingdom as Strangers. The Prime Original focuses on Professor Jonah Mulray, who travels from his sheltered life in London to Hong Kong as he tries to uncover the mystery behind his wife’s sudden death.

The conspiracy thriller, created by Mark Denton and Jonny Stockwood, initially aired in September 2018 and consists of eight episodes. It was announced several months after it initially aired on ITV that Amazon Prime Video had acquired the rights to distribute the series in the US as a Prime Original.

Reviews are mixed. Some have described the series as having too slow a pace. However, some have been able to look over the slow pace because of how intricate and interesting the plot is. So make what you will out of that one.

No news yet on if White Dragon will get tipped for a second season or not. However, with it only just arriving on Amazon Prime Video, the decision has possibly been held back to see how it performs internationally.
