It looked as though The Trial of the Chicago 7 would never see the light of day. After pre-production for the movie staring Fantastic Beasts actor Eddie Redmayne was put on hold it honestly looked as though that was that. Another movie turfed to the bin before it began.
However, The Trial of the Chicago 7 has now been given a new breath of life and everything is back on track. It is officially good to go.

Along with Eddie Redmayne, The Trial of the Chicago 7, will star Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Sacha Baron Cohen, Jonathan Majors, and Alex Sharp. Eddie Redmayne will play the role of Tom Hayden.

The movie will tell the story of a trial that took place in 1969. Where seven people were charged with conspiracy after countercultural protests took place in Chicago at the1968 Democratic Convention.
With pre-production only just getting restarted, there is very little known about the upcoming movie other than who is set to star and the basic synopsis. As soon as we get more details we will let you know, for example, a release date. But for now, this is it.
