Captain Marvel Super Bowl trailer has us pumped for ‘higher, further, faster’ action
Carol Danvers and Maria Rambeau are ready to take us “higher, further, faster baby.”
The New England Patriots face off against the Los Angeles Rams tonight for Super Bowl LIII, but Marvel fans are easily preoccupied with two major trailers that dropped ahead of the big game. The first being Avengers: Endgame‘s latest spot and the second being a Captain Marvel trailer that has us all kinds of pumped up.
From an epic opening shot of Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) and Maria Rambeau (Lashana Lynch) strolling in their Air Force gear to a montage of battles in air and space, we wish it was March 8 already. Just hearing Danvers say “Higher, further, faster, baby” gives us chills while simultaneously making us feel we could shoot up into the air right now to kick some Skrull butt!
Along with the usual visuals of Captain Marvel smashing and blasting everything in her path, we get a quick glimpse again of Jude Law’s character and Samuel L. Jackson cheering on Carol’s flying skills with an excited scream.
This trailer piggybacks after another exciting TV spot for Captain Marvel released recently, which featured Monica Rambeau (Akira Akbar), Maria’s daughter. Danvers walks out in her superhero suit, looks to Monica, who gives her a nod of approval and calls the outfit “fresh.” Seeing Monica is extremely exciting for fans as she could be one of the future faces for Marvel.
