Dany’s dragons from A Game of Thrones

George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire is another massive fantasy series that’s impacted plenty of readers since its publication. Given how much fans adore the A Song of Ice and Fire books and the HBO series based off of them, it makes sense that they’d want a permanent reminder of the story on their skin.

There are plenty of powerful quotes from A Game of Thrones and its sequels, but readers who don’t want words tattooed on them can also find plenty of other images from Martin’s world to choose from. The tattoo above is an example of this, depicting all three of Daenerys’ dragons: Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion.

This image of the dragons shows them during their younger days, back when Daenerys first began her quest to build an army and take back the Iron Throne. In a way, they serve as a symbol of Daenerys’ empowerment toward the end of the first book and beginning of the second, giving a tattoo like this meaning to add to its aesthetic.

And fans considering getting a tattoo similar to this one can rejoice in the fact that Daenerys’ dragons can fit easily on any area of the body—not just the arm.
