The Order of the Phoenix: What’s so interesting about this group of people
Maybe it is because we fell in love with these characters or maybe it was their inclusion of both men and women but there is something great about the Order of the Phoenix.
Comprised of the Potters, the Longbottoms, Remus Lupin, Sirius Black, and a whole bunch of powerful witches and wizards, the Order of the Phoenix is an important part of Harry Potter and his history. They were the one who first tried to stop Voldemort, fighting against him even if it meant they would get hurt.
It isn’t hard to see why many of us gravitate towards them as characters. We’re intrigued by Sirius and Remus, we want to know more about James and Lily and, even with the Longbottoms, we want to see more of what happened to them before Bellatrix Lestrange tortured them.
The thing is: J.K Rowling gave us very little to go on. Sure, we have Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, but there is a whole history of this group of witches and wizards that we don’t get to see. They went through so much to try and stop Voldemort, it would be wonderful to actually see them in action rather than just hearing the stories that were told to Harry.
He wanted to know more and Sirius Black told him but what if we saw it happen? What if we got even more of a look into how the Order of the Phoenix worked and finally got to see some of our favorite characters in action? Wouldn’t that have been nice?
