Karen Gillan hints that more Endgame reshoots just wrapped

Karen Gillan’s recent mysterious tweet hints at potential reshoots or pick-up shots for Avengers: Endgame, giving fans plenty to speculate on.

Avengers: Endgame reshoots have presumably been over since last October. Several actors from the movie even shared such news on social media. Most notably was Chris Evans who tweeted an emotional message about playing Steve Rogers over the years. Endgame is coming out in less than 100 days, so presumably, the film would be wrapped up at this point.

But, it looks like there are still a few minor scenes that need to be finished or changed. (We doubt new scenes are being filmed, as co-director Joe Russo’s mentioned issues with getting the film under three hours.)

After reshoots, if other small edits are needed for films, sometimes pick-up shots are necessary. According to a tweet by Karen Gillan, she might have just finished shooting some pickups for Endgame.

Just before the tweet above, Karen Gillan shared a slightly mysterious message that has fans speculating. She mentioned she’s removing the make-up she wears when she plays Nebula… and that she’s’ doing so for the last time.

We hope this doesn’t mean the end for Nebula, as some fans speculate Gillan is foreshadowing Nebula not surviving Endgame.

Zoe Saldana also posted on Instagram about shooting her last scenes as Gamora, at least for the time being. So, it definitely looks like at least some of the Guardians crew were back on set. The extent of the scenes they shoot and how influential they will be is unknown, but it’s likely that only minor changes were made.

Avengers: Endgame has done a pretty good job up until this point to keep a majority of the film a secret. If it weren’t for actors posting to social media, we likely wouldn’t know anything about the recent filming, when it was happening or wrapping up.

We love hearing from and seeing what Endgame’s cast is up to, and at times, it feels bittersweet as this may be the last time they’re ever in a Marvel film. Here’s hoping Nebula makes it through alive, as well as Gamora!

Avengers: Endgame comes to theaters on April 26.
