The Good Place preview: The International Hole of Pancakes meeting

With one episode before the finale, The Good Place will take us to new and fantastical places and show us what Michael’s options are going forward

The Good Place is putting its main character ensemble back in the line of danger.

I mean, we knew that already with them going back to meet up with the Judge. But… doing so at the International Hole of Pancakes of all places? We all know that the pancakes eat you there. Why take our four humans (and Janet) there?

Here’s the official synopsis for this week’s episode, courtesy of NBC:

"Michael arranges an important meeting and Janet makes a reconnection."

Welp, that gives us absolutely nothing. Then again, these official synopses usually don’t give us much… Sigh.

We know Michael is meeting the Judge at IHOP now that he’s figured out the main issue with the point system. The bigger question is whether the Judge will actually let him speak or if Shawn from the Bad Place will come out of the shadows and trap him in a gross gooey cocoon.

And the Janet reconnection? It has to be with Jason, right? Now that he knows her true feelings and last episode got through the awkward stage of after someone finds out a huge secret, the way is clear for Jason and Janet to get together!

Either that, or the connection will be with another Good Janet, which will help bring her back to her roots. I mean, Janet can throw shade and lie and take humans into her void. There’s not a lot she can’t do, but she’s definitely nowhere near a normal Good Janet anymore.

The Good Place has just this week’s episode left before the season 3 finale. And we already know everything will get turned on its head and make us wait until the fall to get resolved. How much will get figured out in the next two episodes? Probably not a lot. And we’ll probably get another reboot.

But hey! At least there’s another season!
