Villains in Harry Potter: How the bad guys helped shape the generation that read the series

Voldemort is the baddest of the bad but Dolores Umbridge is right there behind him. The villains of the Harry Potter series have a way of reminding us of their evil ways.

Look, we learned a lot from the Harry Potter series. Harry, Ron, and Hermione taught us that we can choose our family, Sirius and Harry taught us of the importance of unconditional love, and we learned that bad guys are gonna be bad and we have to avoid them.

Or better yet: Voldemort is bad but maybe Umbridge is worse? Because the more we look back on that series, the more we realize that yes, Voldemort is the typical bad guy we know so well. He’s terrible, no one should aspire to be like him and, in the end, Harry Potter defeats him.

Umbridge, however, is still alive. We don’t know where she is or what she’s doing and that’s honestly more terrifying. Sure, she’s in Azkaban for her crimes permanently but also everyone escapes Azkaban in the Harry Potter universe so who knows if she actually stays in prison or if she breaks out and comes after Harry and his family.

And remember, she’s literally the woman who branded Harry for life because she believed he was telling lies when he wasn’t. She’d come for blood and not care about who got hurt in the long run, especially if it ended up with Harry being the one injured. So basically, the Harry Potter series taught us to fear all villains and never trust them to stay locked up.

Next. Hermione Granger is the kind of character that inspired an entire generation of women. dark
