First look image of Jude Law in HBO’s The New Pope

A first look image of HBO’s The New Pope has been released and it features Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald actor Jude Law.
Dumbledore is switching out his Wizarding Robes to join the Vatican in HBO’s The New Pope. A first look image of the upcoming series has been released which features the Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald actor.
The New Pope, a series by Paolo Sorrentino, is a continuation of sorts of The Young Pope. Jude Law also starred in this part of the series as well, earning himself a Golden Globe nomination for his role.

Unlike regular TV shows. The New Pope is similar to Fargo, with every new chapter, or season, the cast and storyline are completely changed out. Some characters do make an appearance in future seasons, and sometimes the plots connect as well, but as a whole, a new season is a new story. Hence why The New Pope is not the Young Pope Season 2.

Officially no premiere date has yet been announced for The New Pope. As soon as one is released you will be the first to know. At the time of writing the series was still filming so no release date was not a huge surprise. But with the first look image now released it might not be long until it is announced.

As you can see, Jude Law is as clear as day but the man next to him might have slipped your mind. John Malkovich is the man beside Law, who is suspected to be “The New Pope.”
This is the second TV series in a small amount of time where Malkovich has been working alongside a Wizarding World actor. He recently finished starring in The ABC Murders with Rupert Grint. A BBC series which is coming to Prime Video in February this year.
