Harry Potter and the Cursed Child just gave away 700 free tickets

700 lucky Wizarding World fans just landed free tickets to see the most sought after production in the world, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

With previews about to open in Australia for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. To say the atmosphere is electric is a bit of an understatement. To mark the humongous occasion, producers of the Wizarding World production gave out free tickets to the performance, and unsurprisingly, fans flocked from far and wide at the chance to grab a set.

700 tickets where being given away for the final dress rehearsal of the performance. Dress rehearsals are normally only open to close family members and friends, creative teams, and other close connections to the performance. As this is the chance for the performers to work out all the little kinks before they perform officially in front of a packed out audience.

However, in this instance, the rule book was thrown out for the window. All fans had to do was get themselves over to the Princess Theatre, the home of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in Australia, Melbourne, and get in line.

Tickets where being given out on Sunday, January 13, for performances being held on Wednesday, January 16, and Thursday, January 17. Naturally, with the announcement being made the day before, Saturday, January 12, fans were outside the Princess theatre almost immediately and yes, they were waiting the night out for a chance to grab one of the 700 hundred tickets the next day.

Fans came from all over, some as far as the United States, dressed in Wizarding robes. Best of all, everyone got together, made the most of the experience and a really friendly environment was made.
