Hermione Granger is the kind of character that inspired an entire generation of women
For so many of us, we looked to Hermione Granger as a source of strength in standing by who we are and what we believe in and that’s an incredible aspect of her character.
We ended up reading the Harry Potter series and seeing a young boy save the day, but we fell in love with Hermione Granger. A character who dedicated her life to helping those around her, she ended up becoming the Minister of Magic because she was determined and ready to do whatever was necessary to succeed.
That doesn’t mean she let others down in the process. If anything, she put her friends first and dedicated her time to making sure they were safe and that their goals were met. Sometimes, she did too much for those near her but she still always did what she felt was necessary.
And it was a wonderful role model to have. Looking up to Hermione, we always could be ourselves, reading and losing ourselves in our love of knowledge and not being ashamed of it. Hermione Granger was an easy character for us to look up to, someone we could easily turn to and understand when we didn’t know who else we could look to.
And that’s one amazing thing about the Harry Potter series. It gave us a character that we could see ourselves in. We could look at Hermione and feel like we were represented in our favorite series. And, even in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, she is still one of the most important parts of the story.
