In the final week of the exhibition, Harry Potter: A History of Magic in NYC will be open for longer as the exhibit extends its opening hours.

It won’t be long now until the exhibit is closed for good and being packed up and shipped off to god knows where. In the run up to the final day of Harry Potter: A History of Magic, the exhibition is extending its opening hours to give fans as much time as possible to see the magic that inspired the, well, magic.

Beginning on Jan. 21 and ending on the final day of the exhibition, Jan. 27. The doors to Harry Potter: A History of Magic will be open until 7 pm Monday through to Wednesday. It will close on Thursday at 6 pm, and on Friday and Saturday it will be open until midnight, with the exhibition to close on Sunday at 6 pm.

The exhibition came to NYC in the second half of 2018. In celebration of 20 Years of Magic, the exhibition, which was originally shown in Britain the year before, showcase’s original works of the Wizarding World, including movie props and writing materials of J.K. Rowling.

Where the exhibition goes from here is the big question now. As massive Potterheads I am sure you will agree with me that you hope the exhibition does not go in the trash. But maybe move to another museum for Wizarding World fans elsewhere in the world to visit. Or perhaps a more permanent home such as the Warner Bros. Studios A Making of Harry Potter tour.

We will wait with baited breathe on that one.

Tickets are still being sold for the NYC exhibit. If you wish to attend, you can get tickets and more information about the exhibition here.
