Major League Quidditch is going through a major shake up for 2019

In light of the new year, Major League Quidditch has decided to shake things up ahead of the 2019 Quidditch season. Including new divisions and franchises.
Changes are on the way for Quidditch players. Ahead of the 2019 season, Major League Quidditch are making changes to the overall structure. Including some new divisions and franchises, along with the dissolving of a division as well. So grab a paper and pen and prepare to make some notes.
Major League Quidditch has decided the West Division needs to be dissolved. With that comes the introduction of three new franchises in its place. Minneapolis, Toronto, and San Antonio.

Doing this now means we have three divisions, with 15-franchise leagues across the three divisions. The Minneapolis and Toronto franchises will join the North Division. San Antonio is going to the South Division. And Rochester is bound for the East Division.

The decision to make the following changes comes after Major League Quidditch ascertained the levels of interest and potential growth opportunities following the research they conducted. Such as the level of Quidditch activity that is already going on. As a result, Major League Quidditch felt the West Division needed to be dissolved.

2019 has already been full of announcements when it comes to Quidditch. The IQA announced the Pan-American and European Games locations for 2019. And more changes and announcements are expected to come soon.
