While the video doesn’t show a lot of workroom drama, the designs look quite impressive. Since everyone on this season’s competition has won, no one can just throw something together for the runway. These looks need to be polished, fashion forward and fierce.

Although there will definitely be backstabbing and a little sabotage, the drama will be in the designs. Just looking at the samples in the preview video, these looks are quite impressive. Bold color choices, creative structures and innovative construction have the fashions appearing more editorial than ready to wear.

Additionally, the inclusion of international designers should change the vibe to the competition. American designers can often be more refined, subtle or even a little reserved. Sometimes international designers are more willing to push the envelope with volume, length and definitely color. Fans can hope that the LBD won’t be over-featured this season.

Since it is the final season of Project Runway All Stars, fans will expect to see the classic, favorite challenges. It will be interesting to see how the show can re-define the always popular unconventional materials challenge.
