Harry Potter and celebrating: When does Harry get to be truly happy?

We know that, even as an adult, Harry Potter still has his problems with being happy and loving where he is in life. So when does he get to just celebrate?

Harry Potter is not the happiest of characters. That isn’t a new thing to us all. We’re used to him struggling and being upset but even after “all was well” for Harry, he was still struggling to find happiness when we saw him in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. So now that everything is seemingly better with Harry and Albus, is he going to celebrate 2019 and be happy about it?

Probably not, it is Harry Potter, but when does he get to just be? It seems that, no matter what place Harry is in in his life, he still cannot just be happy. Even on the holidays, he was trying to make sure to take down Voldemort.

So, as an adult, Harry still is struggling with his own happiness and maybe part of that is because his parents never got that happiness. He got to live when so many around him died and it weighs down on Harry, maybe to the point where he’s not ever going to feel too happy because he is always going to go back to what those he lost didn’t get to do.

Hopefully, that’s not the case and Harry can have a wonderful year, putting his past behind him and finally figuring out everything to make Harry just a little bit happier than we’ve ever really got to see him in the series.
