Fantastic Beasts: Is Credence Barebone truly falling for Grindelwald’s trap?

Credence Barebone has been used over and over again in the Fantastic Beasts series and is he really going to fall for what Grindelwald is trying to sell him?

It’s simple: Credence Barebone put his trust in Percival Graves only to be tricked because Graves was, in fact, Grindelwald. So why then does Credence Barebone just willingly following Grindelwald? Well, that still remains to be unseen.

Credence should have no allegiance to Grindelwald as Gellert Grindelwald very openly used him to get what he wanted. And yet, here we are. Sure, Credence probably felt important with Grindelwald, felt as if he could below. But at what cost? Being used continually and then accepting that maybe this man would look at for you?

It stems from Credence never really having anyone on his side. So when it came to Graves/Grindelwald showing him compassion, he wanted to follow with them. Then again, he finds love in Nagini and throws it away to follow Grindelwald, a man who has already lied to him.

Part of me wonders if maybe Credence followed him to see what he had planned but, then again, Credence is fragile in a way that makes him open to trusting a man like Grindelwald and his vision. Can he be lying to Credence again? Yes, very easily and, probably, so. Credence may be a Dumbledore but chances are he isn’t. Or if he is, it isn’t as directly connected as Grindelwald made it out to be.

Next. Dumbledore wasn’t the best role model to Harry Potter and that’s the facts. dark
