Dumbledore wasn’t the best role model to Harry Potter and that’s the facts

Look, we can all love Dumbledore but, at the end of the day, he put Harry in extremely dangerous situations without talking to him about what to do and that’s bad.

Albus Dumbledore had a lot on his plate. If it wasn’t the impending fight against Lord Voldemort, it was being Head Master of Hogwarts. The problem is that he isn’t exactly the best role model for Harry Potter. Throughout the years, he puts a child in danger without direction and probably could have done a lot better at being there for Harry.

That’s not to say that he was terrible all around. He did provide Harry with a parental figure in his life when he didn’t have one but still. there’s a lot to be said about Albus Dumbledore. In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, he basically didn’t talk to Harry for a good portion of the movie and book and…that’s not great.

Maybe it is just Dumbledore’s way of coping but it meant that he wasn’t exactly the best to be there for Harry. Sure, Harry had others in his life but he looked to Dumbledore for guidance and help and it kind of backfired more often than not. He needed someone who would help him in whatever way he needed and Dumbledore should have been that for him.

Instead, the two kind of used each other and, unless Dumbledore needed something specific from Harry, he didn’t really teach Harry the necessary tools.
