Harry Potter and what draws us to him after all these years
Even after all this time, we’re still in love with Harry Potter and his story but why is that? What brings us back to this series time and time again?
It doesn’t matter how many years it has been, we’re all still in love with the Harry Potter series and what it represents. But why is that? What brings us back into this story and keeps us here so much? Is it that it is a sense of familiarity? We know it so well and, coming back, just feels like coming home?
Honestly, I think yes. That’s exactly it. We just know this story better than any other. For years, we’ve lived in the tale of Harry James Potter and gotten to know all those surrounding him. He became our friend and our leader and, at the end of the day, we just want to be back in the world with him once again.
It truly doesn’t matter how many times we read the series or watch the movies, there is always something new to recognize, going back to the beginning and reliving our favorite moments as if Harry and his friends are new to us. It is a wonderful ability that we, as fans, have.
Maybe there will come a day when we tire of reading the same story over and over again but now, there is still so much to learn. And with J. K Rowling continually adding to the story, we keep getting the change to relive the magic over and over again. And there’s something so wonderful about that. We get to be with Harry no matter what.
