Harry Potter and Sirius Black: Their holidays spent together

Harry Potter has had quite the life and the only time he seemed truly happy was when he had Sirius Black in his life. So what was that Christmas like?

Sirius Black and Harry Potter were not in each other’s lives for very long but their relationship is an important one to the series. For the first time in Harry’s life, he had a father figure who actually cared for him.

Sure, we could argue that Sirius Black only cared for Harry because he saw James in him but still, he wanted what was best for Harry James Potter no matter the cost. So, looking at their one Christmas the two spent together, it is important to note that it was also the happiest we have ever seen Sirius. And he was still a prisoner in his own home.

The two are tragic characters, just wanting to be free from the reign of Voldemort. Sirius wanted to be free of Voldemort and Peter Pettigrew so that he could live his life. He just wanted his life back, to be happy and the only time he got to have that was with the one Christmas he spent with Harry.

They actually got to celebrate, the two living their life together and being together despite all the circumstances against them. Too bad we didn’t get to see them together more because the two were wonderful together and great for one another in a way that we hadn’t seen in the series before Sirius Black showed up.

Harry Potter and Sirius Black deserved to have more time together, even if it wasn’t at the holidays. And it is sad that now, we don’t get to see them getting to hang out ever again.
