Harry Potter: Wizards Unite has been teased, and teased, and teased. The augmented reality game from the creators of Pokémon GO has been dangled in front us like a big juicy carrot for a good year now and we are still game less. So what do we actually know so far, and most importantly, when will Harry Potter: Wizards Unite come out?
Ok. So in terms of when it will come out, it will arrive in 2019. There was some debate about the mobile game arriving in 2018. However, once registration opened up for the new Harry Potter game. It became clear that 2019 was when it would arrive.

We still don’t have an exact release date other than 2019. We will be keeping a close eye on an update of precisely when it will arrive. And as soon as we know, we will update this page and share it with you all. But as things stand right now. It’s sometime in 2019.
Considering registration is open. It is most likely to be in the first half of 2019 that Harry Potter: Wizards Unite would arrive.

Ok, so in regards to what we know about the game so far. It is an augmented reality game. So it is very different from the current mobile game being played by Potterheads, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery.
An augmented reality game generally involves a superimposed environment being layered on top of the player’s current environment. Think virtual reality without all the fancy headgear and such. If you play Pokémon GO it is basically that but with the Wizarding World. If you are still not sure what I mean. Imagine using the camera part of your mobile device to look around as you out and about and suddenly a Niffler appears on your screen.
The game is expected to involve us, the player, trying to keep the Wizarding World a secret from muggles by tracking down the magical objects that have gotten loose in the world. Which means getting out and about while playing the game.

Apart from that, there isn’t a whole lot to know. But again, as soon we get any more details you will be one of the first to know.
