Christmas spirit shouldn’t be limited to just a few weeks a year. Even though people might complain about Christmas decorations and music coming earlier and earlier, there is always something magical about the holidays. It could be the colorful decorations or the tasty treats. Wouldn’t it be nice to celebrate that holiday spirit throughout the year?
Throughout the U.S., many cities embrace the holiday spirit. From outrageous decorations to fantastic celebrations, the holidays are the perfect time to celebrate. Still, for many destinations, the holiday magic fades as Santa returns to the North Pole.
But a few U.S. cities enjoy celebrating the Christmas spirit all year long. While the Grinch might pass over these festive locals, holiday fans can get the Christmas fix anytime. If your holidays are in need of a do-over, why not take a trip to one of these festive destinations?

Santa Claus, Indiana
With a name like Santa Claus, it has to be 365 days of holiday spirit. Located in southwestern Indiana, this destination is sought after for holiday fans. While Santa might not be in residence checking his list, the town is filled with holiday-themed character.
For some people, the post office is a must stop. If you are up for the drive, you can send your holiday cards from the local post office. It is the only location with the official Santa Claus postal stamp.
Additionally, the town has a Santa Claus museum and a year-round Christmas store. A huge landmark and great picture stop is the 40-ton Santa Claus statue. Even many of the local neighbors have embraced street names with the holiday themes.
North Pole, Alaska
While a trip to the actual North Pole is only for the truly brave (and Santa, himself), North Pole, Alaska has found a few visitors. Although never quite reaching the notoriety it had hoped, the town has embraced its Christmas namesake. Even though there isn’t a lot of tourism in this town, it does capture the holiday spirit.
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
Founded on Christmas Eve in 1741, this holiday destination is known for its gigantic star. The city’s star of Bethlehem shines bright all year round. Perched on top of South Mountain, the star beckons travelers who are looking for a holiday experience.
Frankenmuth, Michigan
This little town north of Detroit is home to the world’s largest Christmas store, Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland. With 50,000 lights illuminated Christmas Lane, the area is totally in the holiday spirit. There is an unusual fact about this location. It is closed on Christmas Day. Everyone needs a day off.
Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
While Dollywood might be a big draw for some visitors, Pigeon Forge is home to The Inn at Christmas Place. This cozy little destination is decorated for the holidays 365 days a year. The Grinch may not appreciate the decorations, but everyone else will.
North Pole, New York
A little closer to most travelers, North Pole, New York is home to Santa’s Workshop. This year-round theme park is definitely a winter wonderland. Could that really be Rudolph in the corner? Just make sure that you follow the rules or you could be on the naughty list.
Midland, Michigan
Do you think that you have the jolly spirit to be Santa Claus? At the Charles W. Howard Santa Claus School, students can learn to perfect that iconic Ho Ho Ho. While their bellies might be a bowl full of jelly, hopefully no one smells like meat and cheese.
