Harry Potter stars cast in Netflix prequel series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance

Netflix has confirmed they are making a prequel series to the 1982 The Dark Crystal movie and they have gone and landed some amazing Harry Potter stars.
As 2018 draws to a close, people everywhere are starting to get ready for what awaits them in 2019. TV networks and movie studios are starting to announce what they are bringing out next year and Netflix has revealed they have a The Dark Crystal prequel series in the works. Not only that, but they cast a bunch of Harry Potter stars for it as well.
Officially called, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, the prequel series will arrive next year on the streaming platform and will consist of ten episodes set several years before the events of the original Jim Henson movie.

All of the original puppetry will remain that made the movie so memorable. Some visual techniques and special effects will be used but it should not impact the original techniques used.
A huge all-star cast line up has been announced. Netflix released the full line up today, Dec. 17, which includes Star Wars legend Mark Hamill, Outlander star Catriona Balfe and so many more. But most importantly stars from Harry Potter.

Jason Isaacs, who we will all remember as Lucious Malfoy in Harry Potter, has been cast in the role as of The Skeksis & Mystics. Helena Bonham-Carter has also been cast, who you will remember as the evil Bellatrix Lestrange from the franchise, she will take on the role as a Gelfling.
Another cast member for The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance with a connection to the Wizarding World is Natalie Dormer. She didn’t appear in any of the Harry Potter movies but she did narrate Harry Potter: A History of Magic.
Not a huge amount is known about the prequel series. A brief synopsis for the series was released, but apart from that, not a whole lot is known. It is still early days mind you, as we get closer to the release date in 2019 there will no doubt be more details revealed.
