Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince should have been two different movies

We all know that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince isn’t the greatest Harry Potter movie but maybe if it was two different movies, it would have been better.

It is a universal truth that not every movie in a series can be incredible and the Harry Potter series is no exception. You have your Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menaces and you have your Batman v. Supermans out there in the world and then, of course, you have Half-Blood Prince.

The movie tried to smash too much story into one movie. Rushing a storyline and revealing who the Half-Blood Prince was in very quick succession all because we were trying to fit it into a 2 hour movie? Please, at least give Snape a bit more time than that. The reveal that he was the Half-Blood Prince was so rushed and unnecessary that it felt like a cheap shot at what this movie could have been.

So what if it was actually 2 movies? Just let the story flow through two movies and let us really understand the story of the Half-Blood Prince? They introduce so much in the book that it is honestly a disservice to rush that story and it definitely shows in the movie. Then again, if we remake these movies any time soon, they should just be a television series so we can really get into every aspect of the Harry Potter series that we want to explore that the movies didn’t get to.

Next. Fantastic Beasts: We’re still not over McGonagall never aging and always working. dark
