Jason Momoa shuts down rumors Henry Cavill is done playing Superman

When he’s not busy fighting battles underwater, Jason Momoa is clearing up rumors on his fellow hero buds, such as Henry Cavill’s Superman.

Fans of the DC Universe have wondered for some time about the fate of Superman in the franchise. It’s been rumored that Henry Cavill is done with the role, fueling a lot of speculation about who could possibly take up the iconic character.

But Justice League co-star Jason Momoa has stepped in to clear things up for all of us. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the Aquaman premiere, Momoa was asked if Cavill was finished playing Superhero.

“He’s absolutely not,” Momoa said. “He loves the character and he’s not, 100 percent.”

When asked if Cavill’s exit was happening at all, Momoa said “No, it’s absolutely not.”

The rumors about Henry Cavill being done with the franchise began back in September. Despite these ideas of Cavill hanging up his cape for good swirling about the internet, Cavill’s manager shared the following tweet:

Warner Brothers also released a statement around that same time saying that nothing official had been determined.

So, as of now, there is no clear answer or official determination on whether Cavill will continue to play Superman and what the future of Superman in DC movies will be.

For now, fans will just have to hope Momoa is in on everything and not leading us astray.

What do you think will happen with Henry Cavill’s role as Superman? Is he done for good? Or could he return once again, cape and all? .
