Watch Queen Atlanna protect her family in new Aquaman fight scene clip

We all knew that Nicole Kidman’s Queen Atlanna had to be a fierce warrior in her own right. And now a new clip proves it as she takes on multiple baddies.

While we haven’t see Aquaman yet, we all knew Queen Atlanna would be a fierce warrior in her own right. Considering who her son is, and what his apparent purpose in life is, there is no way that Nicole Kidman’s Atlantean Queen could be anything but a fierce, powerful woman.

And in a brand new clip from Aquaman, we finally get to see just how strong she is, as she takes on those who would force her away from her family on land.

Atlanna didn’t necessarily have to prove this to us, but via the clip, we see how much of a true warrior queen she is. There’s no hesitation in Atlanna when it comes to defeating those who would try to remove her from her home. And the fact that she took them all on alone proves that she is not only fierce and strong, but also a mother with a child to protect.

When Atlanna calls for her trident and uses it to finish things off, it proves once and for all that Atlanna is a true Queen of Atlantis.

While the clip was not all that long, the fact that we got a glimpse of a young Arthur as more of a child than a baby, plus the man Atlanna loved, proves she was comfortably settled on land. It also means Arthur clearly has memories of what his mother was like before she returned to the sea.

Knowing that she had to leave him and his father in order to protect them, Arthur easily grows up viewing Atlantis in a negative way. This completely makes sense to us when we think of his reluctance to want to get involved.

But, at the same time, Arthur Curry has also seen his mother in action and knows what a brave and strong woman she was, which would easily inspire him. We have to think (after watching this short fight scene) that Arthur will take inspiration from Atlanna while he is on his personal quest to save the world.

Clearly, she was a fierce queen, and we have no doubt that when Arthur looks at other women (such as Mera), that is what he is looking for — a woman who could live up to his own mother.

After watching this clip, we are even more excited to see what Aquaman has in store for us — especially when it comes to Nicole Kidman’s character. She may not be in the film long, but we are excited to see every second of her being both a mother and a fierce warrior queen.
