Marvel stunt actors are also fans of Super Smash Bros, who knew? Because of their fandom love, they created one epic live-action video for all of us.

When you’re a fan, you make fan-art or fan videos. When you’re a super talented, skilled professional and also a fan, you make fan-gold.

For those of you who have been playing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate since it came out December 7, I ask that you take a brief gameplay pause to watch this epic live-action video made by fellow Smash Bros. fans.

Micah Moore, the video’s director, is a content creator who has gathered millions of views on gaming content and cosplay coverage. LGenzia did the credits and music remix. Wulfgar Weapons and Props, creators of many props for conventions, provided them with them with props and weapons.

As for those giving us all the action in the video? They’re stunt actors from various films including our beloved Marvel movies. Ben Aycrigg is a stunt actor from Baby Driver, Allegiant, and Venom. R. Matt Scheib performed in Captain America: Civil War, Allegiant, and Logan LuckyAlex Hashioka has recently been in Godzilla: King of Monsters, Captain America: Civil War and DivergentTang Nguyen, a martial artist, was in Hancock, The 5th Wave, and the Baywatch movie (with the Rock and Zac Efron).

Some highlights from the video include the fighters’ goofy stances while we’re waiting for the “Ready, GO!” signal, Nguyen’s (Ness) perfectly cartoonish flailing and bat attacks, Captain Falcon yanking and slamming Mario into the floor by his mustache, and an epic stare-down between Nintendo’s biggest heroes, Link and Mario, which in the end ties into Ultimate‘s “plot”.

We get a catchy remix, perfectly timed audio and special effects, and the sense that these were also real fans who got a kick out of making this fun video. What’s so unique about this fan video as opposed to others is the serious action these stunt actors can perform.

Personally, I love the Super Smash Bros. games. I am playing Ultimate right now, in between paragraphs, and this weekend, my husband and I are hosting a Smash Slumber Party. Basically, we transform into children every time Nintendo releases their newest Super Smash Bros. games.

When I first got into Smash Bros., I played with my now-husband and his best friend, Ness and Captain Falcon respectively. I thought it was called Smash Bros. because all I could do was frantically smash buttons while they kicked whatever poor princess I was playing out into the stratosphere. It personally gave me glee to see their favorite fighters get launched from battle in this video.

You can bet I’ll be sending this video to all my fellow fighters to pump them up for our own Smash tournament.

Now excuse me, I have some more fighting to do to practice. Wish me and Lucina good luck!
