Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sept. 22) – Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes

Because of his overwhelming time as an enlisted soldier and then a mind-controlled weapon, we haven’t witnessed much of Bucky’s time as an Avenger yet. When he isn’t being manipulated, though, Bucky still has a distinct fluctuating personality.

Virgos can appear to be more introverted or extroverted given the scene or situation. When he isn’t overwhelmed by a puppeteer, Bucky utters some witty remarks, but he is mostly reserved. This is likely because he’s coping with life in the current time and recuperating from being manipulated by Zemo.

However, Virgos’ innate perfectionism might partially explain Bucky’s apparent on-screen shyness. Because Virgos are obsessed with perfection and being the best versions of themselves, they’re also hyper-fixated with appeasing their friends and supporting them in any way that they can.

Whether intentional or not, when a Virgo disappoints the people closest to them, they immediately blame themselves. After Bucky starts to gain physical and mental autonomy again, he acknowledges the nefarious actions he committed and all the people he killed when he was the Winter Soldier.

This could be a natural response to finding out that you’ve hurt multiple people throughout the decades; however, Virgos are keen to blame themselves for any misfortunes involving their loved ones. In fact, this could give some reasoning as to why Bucky tries to convince Steve to let him fend for himself when armed forces are narrowing in on his hideout in Captain America: Civil War.
