There isn’t much know about M. Night Shyamalan’s series coming soon to Apple, but Harry Potter’s Rupert Grint has landed a role. What do we know so far?

Apple has ordered a new psychological thriller straight-to-series. Very little is known so far, except that M. Night Shyamalan is executive producing and there are some cast members currently joining the series. Harry Potter‘s Rupert Grint is one of those cast members.

Deadline reports that the series is about two parents who hire a nanny to care for their newborn child. The publication doesn’t go into more detail, but as it’s a psychological thriller, there are chances that this will involve a baby being kidnapped and the young nanny going on the run.

Grint is set to play Julian Pierce, the younger brother of Dorothy Turner. Dorothy will be played by Six Feet Under‘s Lauren Ambrose. The husband, Sean Turner, hasn’t been cast as of yet. The only other name connected to the series is Nell Tiger Free, best known for her role of Myrcella Baratheon in Game of Thrones.

It’s possible that Tiger Free will play the young nanny Leanne. However, the Deadline report doesn’t go into further detail.

With the new show getting a straight-to-series order, this is excellent news for the cast. Instead of filming a pilot and then hoping it will get picked up, the show will film all episodes for the first season and they will air on Apple. It’s unclear if they will be available on any other platforms at this time or whether they will just be available to watch through Apple TV or available to buy through iTunes.

The size of Grint’s part isn’t known. However, it’s always fun to see one of our Harry Potter stars in other projects. Grint has been the least prolific out of the three main stars of the movie, but that is starting to change. He recently appeared in Snatch Season 2 and ABC Murders.
