Russo brothers pick which Infinity War character they’d love to save
During a special screening of Infinity War, the Russo brothers reveal which character they wish they could have saved from Thanos’ snap.
While many of us fans are still reeling from losing some of our favorite characters in Avengers: Infinity War, we have to wonder if the Russo brothers ever feel bad about any of the characters that they’ve killed off in the film.
On Wednesday, the Russo brothers participated in a screening of Infinity War hosted by Collider, and they also held a Q&A. While they didn’t talk about Avengers 4, they did answer a few interesting questions. One fan in particular asked: if they could have spared anyone from the snap that they choose to kill, who would it be?
For many fans, this might be a difficult question to answer because how can you choose just one? With so many important MCU characters and fan favorites being dusted such as T’Challa and Bucky Barnes, fans wish that most of their favorites had made it through the film alive.
The Russo brothers have their own pick, however. They said that, speaking as fans, they would have wanted to spare your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, Peter Parker.
While they have different considerations to keep in mind as directors of the film, it sounds like as fans, they didn’t love having Peter Parker be dusted. (Although, they do seem to like trolling us, so we bet they like how impacted we all were by that death.)
During the Q&A, the Russo brothers wouldn’t answer any questions about Avengers 4 at all. In fact, when fans in the audience tried to ask about the movie, Joe Russo responded by playing the sound of a digital airhorn. If that airhorn could speak, it’d be saying “Thank you, next.”
Fans are understandably getting anxious about Avengers 4, but there’s nothing much the Russos can do but tell us to wait. Sadly, the Avengers 4 trailer still isn’t here, and we still don’t have a title. But, we will all just have to wait and see as so far, Marvel is not giving any tips about when the trailer will arrive.
While the Russo brothers aren’t revealing anything, we hope to get that trailer soon. Until then, we can all be sad about all of our favorite heroes that we lost.
