Leo (July 23 – August 22) — Glimmer

No, we aren’t going to be trite and say that the only feline character, Catra, represents Leos. While Catra is obviously the confident nihilist of the animated series, Glimmer is a stubbornly confident princess of power, just like every archetypal Leo.

Throughout the first season, Glimmer uses most of her energy to convince her mom, Queen Angella, to let her organize battles against the Evil Horde. Ultimately, she has to go behind her mom’s back to fight the Horde however, showing that she’s tenaciously ambitious.

Like Glimmer, you’re your best advocate. You might not be on a personal conquest to defeat the Horde, but you and Glimmer both share the same self-confidence in your career, friendships, and hobbies.

Granted, being overly courageous isn’t the sole personality trait of a canonical Leo. Underneath all that vociferous confidence, Leos are sensitive and empathic creatures, which is why Glimmer conceals her painful powerless state from her mom toward the end of the season.

Glimmer doesn’t want her mom to worry about her, so she doesn’t tell her about her glitches after her run-in with Shadow Weaver. You probably (and hopefully) aren’t keeping any secrets from your friends and family, but you still care about them and their feelings all the same.

You don’t want the people in your life to worry about you because you not only care about how others perceive you, but how your actions also impact others, physically and emotionally. That’s why you go out of your way to help your way to be outwardly confident.

While Glimmer’s teleportation isn’t a Leo characteristic (unfortunately), your confidence is definitely your shining attribute.
