Miley Cyrus makes musical return to Instagram, hinting at new song

Miley Cyrus just made an intriguing return to Instagram, and the pop princess’ new post gives us reason to hope for new music soon.

Miley Cyrus stunned her fans in July by deleting every photo that she had so carefully shared on Instagram. We still don’t know what sparked that decision, but now Cyrus is making it clear that she’s back with an Instagram post that feels like an early Christmas present.

How so, you ask? Well her new Insta post isn’t just a signal that she’s back on the social media platform. New music from the pop star is likely on the way.

First, let’s look at the caption and tag for Miley’s Instagram video. “11/29” is being interpreted as the date when Cyrus will release new music, and the fact that music producer Mark Ronson got tagged supports that interpretation. As for the video itself, we see a heart-shaped disco ball spinning to the sound of some ’70s violin vibes.

And that is all we’re getting for now, it seems.

Cyrus also turned to Twitter to offer more clues, including tagging Mark Ronson again along with the symbol of a broken heart.

Rather than only producing Miley’s new song, Ronson reportedly participated with the pop princess. It sounds like a collaboration similar to his role in creating Lady Gaga’s well-received album, Joanne.  Ronson also was involved in “Uptown Funk,” with Bruno Mars.

Saturday Night Live has helped to fuel new music rumors by releasing their upcoming lineup for December. Ronson and the “Wrecking Ball” songstress will perform together on December 15.

Miley retweeted the show’s Twitter announcement, getting her fans super excited for the upcoming SNL date. Meanwhile, Ronson has his own social media following intrigued by sharing behind-the-scenes videos of this mysterious new song in the works and other clips for what will likely be its music video.

In his post, Ronson made it clear that he views his musical relationship with Cyrus as a partnership. He’s also made references to the “Heartbreak Era” (now we know the meaning of all those tiny broken heart images!).
